I went and drove this diesel 3 series in early 2016. To be fair, I was already bored with my 128i and was thinking about replacing it with something else. Since the 335d was automatic only, I wouldn’t feel bad about driving an automatic since there was no other option. Had I stayed in oil a 335d might very well have been in my future. There are too many what ifs in life to wonder about everything; this is one of those.

Ive always wanted a wrx. Almost bought one twice. Ended up with a Cooper S and a GTI instead. I do always wonder. I've wanted one since the old 2.5 RS, in wrc blue and gold wheels

My dad bought a Legacy 2.5 GT new in 1996. That was supposed to be my first car, but it died after ~190k miles in 2004. I wonder if that would’ve changed my wants when it comes to cars. I am a BMW person because an E46 M3 turned me onto cars in late 2003.

Hindsight is 20/20. If I knew what I know now, I’d probably gotten something like an E30 M3 or 1M instead of my E90 M3.

I just drove an E46 330Ci, hnnnngggg
I also know of a guy who has a RWD converted E61 535 with a M5 front subframe (and custom fabricated engine mounts, etc)

A friend in high school had a 330ci, all black with the manual. It was beat to hell and back but damn was it sleek and the engine/trans just worked so seamlessly. I Craigslist dream for one now and then

Just finished necessary car shopping. Had grand plans about seeing a couple different things. Got tired and ran low on time after 2. Went with the used V60 CC (see recent Volvo owners toast). Picking it up tomorrow.

I think we have the same friend. This guy bought the only 330Ci for sale , it had vanos issues, the cats were plugged and more. He's been working on it forever and now it runs like a gem :)

I wish we had the same friend, mine didn’t know Jack about working on cars or taking care of them. He had a VR6 swapped early 90s golf, and now he has an early 2000s Audi A4 that he put a K&N filter on and refused to oil it. All cool cars, killed all of them. Not sure the Audi is dead yet but it won't be long I'm sure ;(
